Meet Our Team
Dr. Etzelmiller was born and raised in Lincoln, growing up the son of an orthodontist and teacher. Arjay has multiple family members who were dentists or hygienists and seeing the love they had for their work steered him to make the same career choice.Arjay has three children, the oldest of whom joined him at Pine Lake Dental as a dentist. He is a graduate of East High School, Texas Christian University, and Nebraska College of Dentistry. When Arjay isn't at work, he can be found tinkering with old cars, hanging around airplanes, gardening, and generally being a busy body.
Dr. Erika Houwman is a Lincoln, NE native who earned her DDS from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry. As a third-generation dentist, she knew from a young age she wanted to aid in giving people beautiful smiles! Her favorite part of being a dentist is building trustworthy relationships with her patients and developing treatment plans that are personalized to each patient. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tyler and their black lab, Mango, traveling, cooking, and cheering on the Huskers!
Lizz is a dedicated professional who balances a thriving career with a fun personal life. A workaholic by nature, Lizz finds immense satisfaction in tackling new challenges and pushing boundaries in their professional endeavors. Outside of work, Lizz is a devoted wife and proud pet parent to two loveable labs. In her free time, Lizz indulges in DIY house projects which reflects on her love for building and creating, both professionally and personally.
Nicole has been a Certified Dental Assistant for over 10 years. She is also cross-trained on the administrative side of the practice. She enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation. Over the years, she started her own dental assisting school and consulted with offices across the country to analyze and improve their systemization and efficiency. Nicole’s versatility and attention to detail make her a valuable member of our team. In her spare time, Nicole loves to read or travel/adventure with her husband, Tony. Her continued passion for the dental field ensures an expert and empathetic level of care for our patients at Pine Lake Dental.
Hannah is one of our hygienists. She grew up in Hickman, Ne. She attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for three years, then finished her degree at the UNMC College of Dentistry and graduated in May of 2023. She has been working at Pine Lake Dental since June 2023. Outside of the office, she loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and going to concerts.
Jazmin is our newest hygienist! She grew up in Lexington, Nebraska and got her degree at the UNMC College of Dentistry in 2023. Jazmin is a compassionate and detail-oriented dental hygienist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. She takes pride in creating a comfortable, positive experience for every patient while providing thorough preventive care and education. With a strong focus on patient communication and gentle technique, Jazmin strives to make each visit both informative and enjoyable. Jazmin also speaks Spanish, which helps her connect with even more of our amazing patients! Outside of the office, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling with her husband, Johnny, and spending time with family and friends.
Daisy is a dedicated dental assistant with four years of experience helping patients feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair. Known for her warm personality and attention to detail, she enjoys creating a welcoming environment while supporting both patients and the dental team. She’s also planning to continue her education by pursuing a Dental Hygiene program in the future. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and traveling
Jane is our part time Dental Assistant. She loves helping patients feel at ease in the dental chair, and enjoys working alongside our team to provide excellent care and brighten every smile that comes through our doors. When Jane is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, and cooking. Jane and her husband have four children that keep them very busy!
